About Jahanara Nissar

Currently serving as managing partner of Lynx Equity Strategies in New York, Jahanara Nissar guides a boutique research firm that provides active fund managers with actionable recommendations in areas such as Internet, hardware, and semiconductor stocks. New York resident Jahanara Nissar also oversees all aspects of operations, from technology development to sales and new business sourcing.

Having previously worked as a vice president of equities desk analyst with Alliance Bernstein, Ms. Nissar engaged closely with derivative and portfolio management teams in the development of ETF portfolios. Achieving sustained results on a commission basis, she collaborated in the management of Internet and media trading books.

Ms. Nissar holds a BS from Mount Union College in computer science and mathematics and earned her MBA at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. She gained early experience as a senior software consultant with American Management Systems, Inc., in the late 1990s, and guided a team that designed and implemented a loan-based collection platform.
